The 2026 International Conference on Big Data and Intelligent Manufacturing (BDIM 2026) had been successfully held on March 21, 2026 !!
On March 21, 2026, the 2026 International Conference on Big Data and Intelligent Manufacturing (BDIM 2026), hosted by Shandong Vocational and Technical University of Engineering, organized by the Science and Technology Department and the School of Intelligent Manufacturing of Shandong Vocational and Technical University of Engineering, and co-organized by AEIC Academic Exchange Center, was successfully held. Nearly 200 experts and scholars from China, Singapore and other countries gathered online, transcending the boundaries of time and space, to jointly discuss frontier issues in the fields of big data and intelligent manufacturing.
The conference officially kicked off at 9:00 a.m. Prof. Chi Guangsheng, Assistant to the President of Shandong Vocational and Technical University of Engineering, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the host institution. He extended a warm welcome to all participants, introduced the university's positioning and discipline development, congratulated on the convening of the conference, and expressed his expectations for the development of the field.

In the keynote speech session, three top scholars delivered wonderful academic presentations. Prof. Tang Yuanyan from the University of Macau (IEEE Life Fellow) sharedMy Experience with Artificial Intelligence, reviewing his academic exploration of introducing entropy theory and fractal theory into text analysis. Prof. Li Xiaoli from the Singapore University of Technology and Design (IEEE Fellow), centered onCutting-edge Artificial Intelligence Techniques for Sensor Time Series Analysis, demonstrated the broad prospects of AI in industrial monitoring, health management and other fields. Prof. Ning Lingling from Shandong Vocational and Technical University of Engineering focused onDigital Transformation of Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering Technology Major, sharing practical explorations of vocational education in adapting to and leading industrial development, which sparked heated discussions among representatives from vocational colleges. The reports of the three experts, combining both academic depth and practical warmth, jointly outlined the future blueprint for the integrated development of big data and intelligent manufacturing.

Prof. Yuanyan Tang, University of Macau (IEEE Life Fellow)

Prof. Xiaoli Li, Singapore University of Technology and Design (IEEE Fellow)

Prof. Lingling Ning, Shandong Vocational and Technical University of Engineering
In the oral presentation session, 8 young scholars took the stage one after another. Their research demonstrated both theoretical depth and close alignment with industrial needs — from the precise control of button mushroom picking robots, to algorithm optimization for photovoltaic power generation prediction; from the visual collaboration of low-loss garlic harvesters, to target detection of residual film in peanut harvesting; from fully automatic solar weeding machines, to underground utility tunnel detection robots. Each research project showcased the spirit of a new generation of scholars who are rooted in practical problems and brave in technological innovation.
